Brett and Katherine in Southeast Asia

Reaching Southeast Asia

The 10/40 Window is a rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. This area is often called “The Resistant Belt” and includes the majority of the world’s Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists. Most of the people living in this region are still waiting to hear the gospel for the first time.

2,000 years ago Jesus gave us a commission and said, “Go therefore, and make disciples of all the nations.”

We are so thankful you are joining us on this journey.

The Need

Recently we witnessed local island villagers searching for plastic bags adrift in the ocean, washing and drying them and then selling them, to have food for their families.

Currently there are over 27 million in this country living BELOW the poverty line and the number continues to grow.

People are considered below the poverty line here if they make about $5 per day for an entire family!

We are part of a team who provide hope, food, medical supplies and education to the local islanders. This gives us amazing opportunities to build relationships with the local community.

Your gifts provide for many wonderful things including:

  • Food for the hungry
  • Providing for locals who have medical needs
  • School supplies and sporting equipment for local children
  • Community center development
  • Developing Bible study materials, including translating into local language so we can lead studies (and mentor others on how to lead)
  • Education scholarships for locals including university, Christian programs, etc.
  • Language study program
  • Mentoring opportunities including local business owners. Teaching and executing best business practices to help their career development and improve their businesses in order to build strong relationships in the community.
  • Mentoring men and women at all stages of life to build relationships, learn the local culture and be connected to local needs in order to help fill those needs.
  • Coaching and mentoring local business men and women to become more effective in their roles in order to impact the local economy and build personal relationships that will lead to lasting impact in their lives.
